![]() ![]() Better than Thor Love and Thunder at least.The Marvel Cinematic Universe did not end with Avengers: Endgame, but it did take a big break, and its return across 20 was understandably a little shaky. But all in all, the movie was pretty great and Namor was a pretty good villain, so yeah it's a solid MCU movie. Also, why add so many unnecessary side characters? The movie could have been half the screen-time if they focused on the important bits. And so they start to feel like less of a threat the more you get to know about them. In the beginning, they're menacing, but I just didn't buy into the idea of them being technologically advanced enough to compete with Wakanda. The only thing in the movie that kinda doesn't work for me is the enemy civilization. ![]() The movie embodies the phrase "I'm not crying you're crying" perfectly and also manages to establish Shuri as a great successor to the Black Panther. The movie does a great job addressing the gaping hole, that T'Challa and Boseman left behind. Now that the movie is out, we are glad to see, that they managed to achieve this difficult task. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had a difficult task on its hand s, as it needs to honor the legacy of Chadwick Boseman whilst forging a new direction for the Black Panther brand, and also making a good movie. The second Black Panther is an interesting one, seeing as the actor behind its titular character passed away from cancer in 2020. It's very exciting, of course, that all of our Marvel content will be in the same place, but that doesn't mean that it's all unicorns and rainbows.
